CSIA Québec’s Distinctive Impact Awards
Each season, our community is lifted by individuals who elevate our profession, inspire, bring people together, and open the way forward. This year, we are proud to celebrate three pillars of CSIA Québec through our Distinctive Impact Awards. Three journeys that embody what is most precious within our organization: inspiration, engagement, and influence. These distinctions are meant to reflect a legacy, a passion, and a contribution that have shaped our industry for decades. Here are the 2025 recipients — three stories that remind us why we do what we do.
🌟 Inspiration /Influence Award — Sunny Verreault

For more than 35 years, Sunny Verreault has elevated our profession. A high-impact course conductor, four-time Canadian representative at Interski, and mentor to generations of instructors and now racers, she has shaped our industry through her rigour, passion, and humanity. Sunny has helped advance our pedagogical practices and opened the door to greater female representation at the highest levels of the CSIA. Her influence lives on in every person she has supported. Thank you, Sunny Verreault!
🤝 Engagement Award — Dan Renauld

For more than 35 years, Dan Renauld has been a pillar of the CSIA and the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation. Course conductor and coach, he has served as Chair of the Québec Board and as a member of the National Board. His career has been guided by a collective vision and deep respect for individuals. A unifying leader, Dan has kept our organization steady through challenging times, always with calm, loyalty, and conviction. He has championed the voice of Québec, promoted the French language, and supported the next generation with remarkable generosity. This award highlights the contribution of a quiet builder whose human and structural impact has left a lasting mark on our organization. Thank you, Dan Renauld!
✨ Influence – Inspiration Award — Suzanne Bergeron

A true pioneer of the AMSC, Suzanne Bergeron opened the way at a time when very few women held leadership roles in ski instruction. As a snow school director and model of determination, she pushed boundaries and expanded possibilities for an entire generation of women. Today, at 93 years old, she continues to teach, sharing her love of skiing with inspiring presence and unwavering dedication. Her journey is that of a woman whose passion and lifelong commitment have helped advance an entire community. Thank you, Suzanne Bergeron!
