Well, fall is officially upon us, and for all of us as members of the CSIA, this means that our ski teaching season is right around the corner! Time to get in “ski shape”!

So here are a few important pieces of information for all our current and future CSIA members here in Ontario:

Membership renewal is now open! There are so many reasons to renew, well beyond providing yourself with official accreditation to teach skiing this coming season – look at all the advantages by going to the official CSIA site. You can click here to renew your membership.

Program Registration is also open on snowpro.com. Register early for the Program dates and places that best suit you – whether to improve your CSIA Level designation, or to begin your designation journey at Level 1. Go to www.snowpro.com for further specific details.

For our CSIA members in Ontario, we are pleased to offer the CSIA Ontario Scholarship Program. This financial support helps cover costs related to Level upgrade training and exams provided by CSIA. Funded by CSIA Ontario, the scholarship is available to dedicated full-time and part-time ski instructors in Ontario who show a strong commitment to both the sport and the profession of ski instruction. The deadline to apply is October 31, 2025.

You can also find details about the Ontario 2026 CSIA Women in Skiing (WIS) Summit Scholarship in the above link.

Here are 3 of the many scholarships’ testimonials from this past season:

Thank you so much for the generous support I received from the CSIA Ontario Scholarship. I am happy to share that I successfully passed my Level 2 certification this season, and the scholarship funding was a tremendous help in covering the course fees and travel expenses. It made a big difference in allowing me to focus on training and achieving important milestones in my instructing journey.

Thanks to the CSIA Ontario scholarship, I was able to fully focus on my training and successfully achieve my Level 3 certification this past season! The funding alleviated financial pressures, allowing me to invest in critical resources like additional coaching hours, and exam fees. Beyond the technical skills, the scholarship reaffirmed my confidence and commitment to pursuing excellence in skiing and instruction.

A huge thank you to CSIA Ontario for the generous support of the Level 4 Scholarship. As a recipient of a scholarship, I was able to participate in two key development opportunities this past season: the L4 Skier Development Module in January and the L4 Teacher Development Module.
