NICOLE MONETTE: THE IMPACT OF A RESPECTED AND INSPIRING INSTRUCTOR!

by | Apr 10, 2026 | CSIA Spotlight

There are those positive leaders, full of charm and joie de vivre, whom we naturally trust, and whom we love to follow and listen to! Nicole Monette is one of them.

An exceptional senior instructor at the Mont Blanc Ski School in Quebec, Nicole is a CSIA Level 3 instructor and Level 1 Course Conductor. Her remarkable career, spanning several decades and including over 50 years as a member of our organization, reflects a deep passion for skiing and a genuine dedication to teaching. Starting out as a ski patroller, she quickly turned to teaching and built a distinguished career across several resorts, including Mont Shefford, Vallée Bleue, Mont Sainte-Agathe, and Le Chantecler.

Thanks to her constant dedication and natural leadership, she has trained numerous instructors and helped pave the way for them. Her generosity, her willingness to help, and her deep love of skiing have left a lasting impression on generations of skiers and colleagues. Beyond the techniques she teaches, Nicole instills a love for the mountains and the sport.

She is undoubtedly a role model for the entire Mont Blanc Ski School team, especially for young female instructors. A unifying force and an attentive listener, she is a source of inspiration for women and knows how to build their confidence in moments of doubt so they can reach their full potential.

As part of the recent Mont Blanc Instructors’ Gala, the organizers made a meaningful gesture by creating a trophy in her name. This trophy will be awarded annually to a female instructor who embodies the values that define Nicole so well: passion, determination, commitment, and empathy.

The CSIA wishes to thank Nicole for her exceptional contribution to ski instruction. Thank you, dear Nicole, for continuing to share your love of skiing!

We would also like to thank Mr. Jacques Laplante from the Mont Blanc Snow School for sharing this recognition with us.
