Dear Members,
As we enjoy the summer months and prepare for the season ahead, I wanted to take the time to share an update on the significant progress your Board of Directors and leadership team have made. Our focus is clear, and our commitment to the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) community remains rooted in a single, driving principle: a Commitment to Excellence.
To deliver on this commitment, the Board reviewed our strategic plan and established a strategic framework built upon Three Core Pillars: Education, Information Technology (IT), and Marketing. These pillars are designed to elevate the member experience and engagement while firmly positioning the CSIA as a dominant leader in both the national and international ski industries.
Our global standing has never been stronger. Our alliances with the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA) and Interski—combined with the international community’s explicit recognition of the CSIA as the sole legitimate ski teaching body in Canada—reflect our premier status on the world stage. To ensure we drive this global reputation, we have strengthened our internal staffing complement by creating dedicated, executive-level Director roles in both Education and Marketing.
Here is how these strategic pillars and leadership investments will directly impact you, our members:
- Education: With a new Senior Director of Education at the helm, you will see the rollout of a clear, progressive education model heavily grounded in modern sport science. We are dedicated to ensuring our teaching framework remains cutting-edge, practical, and highly effective on the snow.
- Marketing: Our new Director of Marketing will spearhead strategic initiatives focused on building robust visibility. Efforts will be sharply focused on showcasing the value of our instructors to the broader ski community, supporting our existing members, and inspiring new skiers to enter the sport.
- Information Technology (IT): We are currently executing a comprehensive IT infrastructure upgrade. This transformation will provide you with superior virtual access and better overall visibility into your membership profiles, while making our industry-leading educational materials easier to access and utilize than ever before.
The leadership team is incredibly grateful for the immense support the membership has demonstrated regarding recent decisions and our long-term strategic direction. The trust you place in our staff and board fuels our momentum.
We look forward to showcasing the results of these modernizations in the upcoming season, and we thank you for your continued dedication to making the CSIA a world-class organization.
Enjoy the rest of your summer and look out for our course conductors in our new uniforms from Karbon!
