Each season, snow schools across our region recognize exceptional instructors who make a lasting impact on their students, colleagues, and communities. We’re proud to highlight a few of these outstanding professionals whose passion and dedication inspire the next generation of skiers.
Evan MacDonald – Ski Ben Eoin
I would like to nominate Evan MacDonald, from Ski Ben Eoin, as Ski Instructor of the Year. Evan is passionate about everything ski and ski instruction. He participates actively in all aspects of our snowschool – from delivering professional private lessons to all levels and age groups, to participating enthusiastically in week day school group programs. Evan is a natural organizer and never hesitates to offer his expertise or services to improve a given situation. He is an asset to every aspect of our snowschool.

Elsa Godin – Sugarloaf Provincial Park
We are pleased to recognize Elsa Godin as the Sugarloaf Snow Sports School Instructor of the Year for 2025/2026 for her outstanding contributions as a ski instructor. Her dedication, creativity, and welcoming personality have enriched our community, especially for children, while inspiring young people and aspiring female leaders. Consistently among the top instructors for requested lessons, Elsa always supports her team. As Lead Instructor for the new 3–5-year-old program, she helped make its inaugural season a sold-out success.

Austin Ouellette – Poley Mountain
Austin Ouellette has been a full-time instructor with the Poley Mountain Snow School for three years and is an integral part of the team. With CSIA and CASI Level 1 certifications, Austin creates a positive and engaging experience for every student he teaches. This season, Austin earned nearly 20 requested private lessons, demonstrating just how much he cares about what he is doing and how well he is doing it. Austin also took first place in the park competition this season.
