Members of the CSIA Operations Team recently attended the Canada West Ski Areas Association Spring Conference, held in late April in Whistler, BC. The event is a great opportunity for the team to connect with key ski resort leaders and industry partners, collaborate on best practices and stay current on industry trends.
CSIA Program Manager Betsy Linnell participated in the Snow Sports sessions and delivered a presentation titled “The Value of Certification.” She highlighted ski instructors as key assets and shared data and insight to support the importance of developing a training culture in snow schools to engage and retain valuable instructors. The CSIA was well represented at the event with Interim Managing Director Beth Potter, EPC’s Kristian Armstrong and Kyle Armstrong, Colin Borrow from the National Board as well as representatives from both the BC and Alberta Committees, all in attendance.
