WHAT’S NEW IN ALBERTA?

Happy New Year Alberta members!

With many of our hills having experienced a VERY snowy December, we are so excited for what’s to come in 2026. We have a great variety of certification courses, pro days and exams available across the region! Register on SnowPro at least 14 days in advance to benefit from preferable pricing.

We have welcomed many new level 1 members across the region already this winter, and wish them the best of luck as they begin their instructing journeys and share the magic of skiing with our public!

Many of our Level 1 courses participants in the North braved some challenging cold temperatures! Not only have they learned the level 1 material, but they also now have an in-depth knowledge of how to keep their students safe, entertained and warm on colder days.

HUGE level 1 courses were hosted at Lake Louise and Norquay, with amazing results achieved and experiences shared by the interns and public members who participated!

Congratulations to our 2025/26 scholarship recipients! CSIA Alberta allocated $18,000 to help members access training and support their certification pathways. If you missed the deadline or did not receive a scholarship this winter, look for 2026/27 application announcements ahead of next winter.

Our Alberta Hall of Fame and Alberta Spirit Award nomination committee are accepting nominations now. Please nominate Alberta members who have had a considerable impact on our industry and your communities. Click here to get more information. We will share more details on how to do this via our social media soon.

Save the date for Spring Fling – April 16-17 at Marmot Basin in Jasper! Spring Fling is the best way to close out a busy winter and connect with friends from across the region.
