What is a CSIA Scholarship?
The CSIA Scholarship consist of financial assistance made available to members that have unmistakably demonstrated their commitment to the sport of skiing and have distinguished themselves by their initiative and involvement in their Snow School. The Scholarship Program offers an incredible opportunity to support instructors’ growth through the CSIA system. The National Scholarship Program is partially funded through voluntary contributions received from CSIA Members. CSIA National also administered scholarships requests for the BC and Alberta regions. Other regions also offer scholarships, that are administered at a regional level and can be accessed by visiting the region’s website.
Scholarships amounts are either $500 (for Level 2, 3 or TD) or $1000 (for Level 4).
How many scholarship/bursaries did we give out for the 2025-2026 season?
This season, the CSIA received 84 member applications. Here is the breakdown of scholarships granted this season:
- CSIA National granted 23 scholarships (a value of $14,500).
- Alberta granted their membership 27 scholarships (a value of $18,000)
- BC granted their membership 11 scholarship (a value of $8,000). Additional scholarships are available for BC members. The deadline to submit your application is February 15, 2026.
These 61 scholarships granted included: 18 for Level 2, 22 for Level 3, 20 for level 4 and 1 for Trainer Development.
