March has been an absolute home run of CSIA Ontario activities. What a great skiing month! On March 6, The CSIA Ontario Board hosted the Snow School Directors’ Day at Georgian Peaks Ski Club. Directors and senior supervisors from over 20 Ontario ski schools met with National staff and the Ontario Educational Program Coordinator – having a very productive on-snow session and information exchange. Thank you to Jiao Jiang of our Ontario Board for all her heavy lifting to make this such a big success!

On March 7, we had a fantastic turnout of 40 ladies for the High Performance Women’s Day, graciously hosted by Craigleith Ski Club. It was a sell out! The day included instruction by wonderful CSIA Course Conductors, and a full day of fun, camaraderie and skier improvement. Much thanks to Monica Costa of the CSIA Ontario Board for all her efforts to ensure this was to be the success that it was.

On March 22 a CSIA Ontario Fun Day “Ski School’s Out” was held at Alpine Ski Club with huge thanks to the club for being such a great host for the day. Over 400 CSIA instructors attended! There were Pro Sessions held, a momentous tug-of-war, and the crowning gem was a “ball drop” accuracy contest off of the chairlift – with over $700 dollars being raised and donated to the Ontario TRACK3 Adaptive Sports Association, which is a volunteer charity enabling kids and youths with disabilities to discover their confidence and develop their ski talents. CSIA Ontario is honoured to support this fantastic organization. Big thanks to Mike and Mo from our CSIA Ontario Board for all the grunt work that was involved

And, on March 23, the CSIA Ontario Fun Day “Ski School’s Out” was held at Calabogie Peaks Resort with over 65 CSIA ski instructors attending. Many thanks go out to The Peaks for being such a great resort host for this event, which included Pro Sessions, synchronized demonstrations and many more fun events. Thanks to our main heavy lifters for this event – Kevin and Scott from our Ontario Board.
