What an incredible season of learning, development, and progress! Participation surged in 2025, marking a standout year for our programs. We’ve seen a remarkable growth in our instructor community over the last three seasons, with more and more people not only joining the pathway but committing to reaching their Level 2.
Numbers that Shaped our Season
Level 1 certification rose to 148 participants, up from 113 in 2024 and 73 in 2023. Level 2 Skier Development reached 45, more than double last year’s total. Teacher Development also grew to 44 participants, while the Level 2 Exam saw 54 participants—more than triple the 2024 numbers.
Participation remained strong across all course levels this season. Twelve Level 1 courses were conducted, along with 2 Apprentice courses attended by 9 participants. At Level 2, 7 Ski Development courses and 6 Teacher Development courses were run, with 7 exams held throughout the season. Level 3 included 2 Ski Development courses with 10 participants, 1 Teacher Development course with 7, and 2 exams taken by 11 individuals.
Some Atlantic members also pursued certification outside the region. Two completed the Level 1 Snow Park course. For Level 4, two members participated in Ski Development and three in Teacher Development. Additionally, three members took part in both the Trainer Development and Trainer Exam.
Events were equally well-attended. The Atlantic Convention at Mont-Sainte-Anne brought together 57 members, 62 took part in the CSIA Atlantic Skills Camp, and 38 joined the Spring Fling – Atlantic. Three members also represented the region at the WIS Summit in Alberta.
