2024 CSIA NATIONAL HALL OF FAME

The CSIA National Hall of Fame & Member Recognition Committee is pleased to announce the National Hall of Fame Inductees of 2024. We wish to congratulate and welcome this year’s inductees to the Hall of Fame for their great dedication and contribution to the betterment of the CSIA over a long period of time.

The 2024 CSIA HOF inductees are:

Here’s a few highlights of the inductees:

• Grew up in Thunder Bay as a ski racer.
• Holds Level 4 Certification and is a Level 4 Course Conductor and Course Conductor trainer.
• Served on the CSIA National Technical Committee and the Alberta Regional Committee.

• Former Snow School Director of Club Ski in Banff.
• Is a two-time Interski Team member, a one-time Interski Team Assistant Coach and two- time Interski Team Head Coach.
• 13 years as PDP Coordinator for Alberta/Central.
• 12 years as the CSIA Western Program & Education Manager.
• Highly respected by ISIA for his numerous contributions to the international organization.
• Content creator and developer of many CSIA ski technique & teaching videos and manuals.
• Currently a key member of the CSIA Technical & Education Committee.

• Grew up in Atlantic Canada.
• Holds Level 4 Certification, is a Level 4 Course Conductor and is a Course Conductor trainer.
• Former Technical Director at Lake Louise Ski School.
• Former Ski School Director at Marble Mountain, Newfoundland.
• 19 years as the CSIA Eastern Program & Education Manager.
• Two-time Interski Team Assistant Coach and three-time Interski Team Head Coach.
• Served on and has been a key member of Technical, Education and Steering Committees.
• Instrumental in the development of CSIA technical videos manuals, course guides and on-line learning.

• From Nova Scotia and is a lawyer in Halifax.
• Holds a Level 3 certification and is a long time Level 1 Course Conductor.
• A former board member of the Atlantic Regional Committee and two-term member of the CSIA National Board of Directors.
• His critical thinking, legal mind and savvy advice were of immeasurable assistance to the CSIA in critical issues in human resources, by-law updates, real estate and other challenges.
• Asked to stay on the Board after his terms were up for 2 one-year terms as a non-voting member of the Board to offer his advice.
• He is currently chair of the Atlantic Governance Committee.

Inductions

Warren Jobbitt will be inducted in Lake Louise on November 27 at the banquet during the Pro Days Camp.  John Gillies and David Green will be inducted at Mont Tremblant on December 5, 2024, at the Pro Day’s Camp banquet.
