The CSIA volunteers and staff just wrapped up end of season meetings to review the past season and to begin planning for the next. These meetings are essential to the success of the organization, as they give us the opportunity to reflect on what went well and identify areas for improvement.

The meetings began over the weekend with the National Board of Directors, as well as the regional and committee chairs meeting. The agenda included operational and strategic plan updates, a review of future plans from each of the committees, as well as updating of our risk management and committees terms of reference. This meeting also marked a major milestone with finalizing the annual membership survey, which will be sent out in mid-May. This survey not only gives members a chance to voice their opinions but also provides the CSIA with valuable data to help guide future decisions and strategic adjustments.
The staff meetings kicked off Monday morning with a team-building activity at SH Karting. With coaching from our ACA partner Pierre Ruel, the team applied familiar references, knowledge and instincts from the skiing track to the karting track, to better review performances, set goals and consider environmental factors to increase our performance on and off the tracks.

The rest of the 3-day staff meetings included department presentations and collaborative workshops to analyze the past season, identify what should be preserved, and determine what could be improved. Key stats from this season include a 7.8% growth in overall program registrations and close to 1% increase in membership.
One of the exciting projects staff is working on is the upcoming redesign of our website. The new platform will have a fresh look and feel, making it easier for members to find information and enjoy using it. Several new features are planned to improve the overall user experience.
There are also many other exciting projects and initiatives that will be worked on over the summer in preparation for next season. Stay tuned as we share updates throughout the summer on these developments.
